Welcome to our second Love Arts festival in Leeds, brought to you by Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Arts and Minds Network
More About Our Company
Building on the success of the 2011 Love Arts festival, this year we’ll be drawing our inspiration from the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad – the largest cultural celebration in the history of the modern Olympic and Paralympic movements. We’ll be focusing on inspiring creativity across all forms of culture and art with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Our aim is to develop the role of the arts in health and social care, whilst enabling people who may feel excluded to take part in the rich cultural life of Leeds. We harness the power of the arts to explore mental health issues such as identity, stigma, social justice and even happiness.
Last year we were delighted to be partnering with so many amazing art organisations across the city to explore connections between the arts, mental health and wellbeing. This year we’re hoping to continue building on those connections whilst developing new partnerships around the district of Leeds . Our festival is the culmination of nine fruitful years developing links between arts, mental health and wellbeing through our Arts and Minds Network.
Our festival takes place between Tuesday 2 and Monday 29 October 2012. We’re still in the planning stages of the festival but please bookmark us and come back to visit us where we can keep you informed about all of our exciting activities for Love Arts Leeds 2012.
